Not everyone believes in positive thinking. It has its skeptics. A negative thinking person lives in a negative world. They know this is the way the world works because they experience it like that every day. They are constantly thinking about the problems they have, the setbacks they experience, and the disappointments they collect. These are the thoughts that are going through their minds all the time. This is their inner conversation with themselves. They don't dwell on their achievements, or the things that went well, or their talents, because their inner conversation drowns this out.

Positive thinking isn't about being unrealistic. Far from it. It doesn't mean having a blinkered attitude or looking at the world through rose coloured spectacles. Quite the contrary. Positive thinkers are realists. They know things can go wrong, and they look out for this because everybody has setbacks, problems and failures. However positive people learn from failure and see this as just another stepping stone on the journey to happiness and success. It's just that this was a step backwards and not forwards. Positive thinkers fail forwards and carry on until they succeed. Negative thinkers knew that they would fail, so they didn't put too much effort into it anyway, and have now given up. This is the way you make your own world by the way you think about it.
If you see your life as full of failure it's hard to think positive and it's difficult to see that positive thinking is the way out of your problems. However if you want health, happiness and success in your life you owe it to yourself to give it a try, a real try, and see how the power of positive thinking can work for you as well.
