Parkinson's disease is a progressive nerve disease which effects certain parts of the brain, often with no obvious cause, and is due to a reduction in the amount of dopamine, a nerve transmitter chemical, in these areas. This results in movement problems caused by the muscles not responding normally to nerve stimulation.
