Anbesol Liquid (15ml) [P]
Anbesol Liquid contains lidocaine hydrochloride, a local anaesthetic which works by stopping the sensation of pain. Also chlorocresol and cetylpyridinium chloride which have antiseptic properties.
Anbesol liquid is used for the temporary relief of pain caused by recurrent mouth ulcers, denture irritation and teething.
Adults, Children and the Elderly: Apply undiluted to the affected area using a clean fingertip. Two applications of the liquid straight away will normally be enough for pain relief. Use up to eight times per day.
Babies only: Apply once to the affected area. Do not repeat for at least half an hour. Use up to eight times a day.

It also contains the following inactive ingredients: Ethyl alcohol (96%), menthol, glycerin, caramel colouring (E110, E104, E123, E142) and purified water.
Side-effects:
As with most medicines, Anbesol liquid can sometimes cause side-effects.
Some people have reported suffering from mouth ulcers after
using oral medicines containing cetylpyridinium chloride. If
you suffer from this or any other side effect, stop using the
product immediately and talk to your doctor or dentist.
