Canesten AF Dual Action Cream (30g)
Canesten Dual Action AF Cream contains clotrimazole a powerful antifungal ingredient which is clinically proven to effectively treat athletes foot and jock itch.
Other sizes available: Canesten AF Cream 15g
Clotrimazole is one of a group of medicines called imidazole antifungals, which are used to treat fungal infections.
Athletes foot and jock itch. are both common fungal infections of the skin. They are caused by a contagious fungus which thrives in warm, moist environments. This fungus can be picked up by simply walking through a public shower, at the gym or swimming pool. Tell-tale signs of both athlete's foot and jock itch are that the skin becomes itchy, red and inflamed. Sporty people or those who work in a warm, damp environment tend to be more likely to catch these conditions.
Canesten Dual Action AF Cream should be used to treat athlete's foot (tinea pedis) and jock itch (tinea cruris).
How to use Canesten AF Cream:
If you are suffering from athlete's foot, wash your feet and dry them thoroughly, especially between the toes, before applying the cream.
Apply the cream thinly and evenly over the affected area, rubbing in gently.
The cream should be applied two or three times daily and treatment should be continued for at least one month to prevent re-infection.
If you have athlete's foot it may help if you use an antifungal dusting powder as well.
Some symptoms of athlete's foot and jock itch, such as itching or soreness, should improve within a few days of treatment although redness and scaling may take longer to disappear.
