Benadryl Skin Allergy Relief Cream relieves the itching and discomfort caused by insect bites, nettle stings, shingles and minor skin irritations. It can also be used to relieve the discomfort of sunburn, prickly heat and hives. 

Benadryl Skin Allergy Relief Cream contains Diphenhydramine hydrochloride, Zinc oxide and Racemic camphor

Diphenhydramine Hydrochloride: is an antihistamine which relieves itching and irritation

Zinc Oxide: is soothing and protective to the skin

Racemic Camphor: reduces mild pain and irritation

Directions

How to use Benadryl Skin Allergy Relief Cream:

  • Apply the cream three or four times daily

Benadryl Skin Allergy Relief Cream is for use only on small affected areas of the skin

The cream should not be applied to raw or broken skin (cuts or grazes) or body cavities (e.g. the mouth or vagina)
  • Avoid contact with your eyes
  • Do not swallow the cream
  • If you do not get better, go and see a doctor

Benadryl Skin Allergy Relief Cream contains the active ingredients: Diphenhydramine hydrochloride Ph Eur 1%, Zinc oxide Ph Eur 8% and Racemic camphor Ph Eur 0.1%.

Benadryl Skin Allergy Relief Cream also contains: Ferric oxide red (E172), ferric oxide yellow (E172), white ceresin, cetostearyl alcohol, perfume oil soleil 78087, sorbitan stearate, propyl hydroxybenzoate, propylene glycol, polysorbate 60 and water.

Warnings

Do not use Benadryl Skin Allergy Relief Cream if: 

  • You have ever had a reaction after using Benadryl Skin Allergy Relief Cream
  • You have ever had a reaction after applying antihistamine creams or lotions to your skin
  • Your skin broken, raw or weeping
  • You have chicken pox or measles
  • You using any other medicines containing diphenhydramine
  • You pregnant, trying to become pregnant or breast-feeding

If the answer is yes to any of these questions, speak to your doctor or pharmacist before using Benadryl Skin Allergy Relief Cream.

Side-effects: Benadryl Skin Allergy Relief Cream can sometimes cause side-effects. Very rarely, sensitivity in the form of reddening of the skin and irritation after applying the cream may occur. The irritation maybe made worse by sunlight. If this occurs, the cream can be removed by washing with soap and water.

If the irritation persists or there are any other unusual effects, such as drowsiness or dizziness, stop applying the cream and tell your doctor or pharmacist at once.
