Morhulin Ointment (50g)
Morhulin Ointment for the treatment of minor wounds, minor excoriations, pressure sores, varicose ulcers, eczema and nappy rash.
Cod Liver Oil promotes the healing of wounds whilst zinc oxide helps remove dead tissue from wounds. Vitamin A in cod liver oil also contributes to the healing process, whilst zinc oxide has an established value in the treatment of minor skin wounds.
Directions for using Morhulin Ointment
Adults, children and the elderly:
Directions for use in wounds requiring a dressing:
- The ointment should be applied thinly to clean dressing material, sufficient to cover the affected area and an area of healthy skin extending beyond the affected part
- The dressing should then be pressed gently onto the wound
- The ointment can be used directly, one to three times a day
Morhulin Ointment contains the following active ingredients: Zinc Oxide BP 38.0% w/w, Cod Liver Oil BP 11.4% w/w.
It also contains the following inactive ingredients: Liquid Paraffin BP, Yellow Soft Paraffin BP, Lanolin Anhydrous BP, Castor Oil BP, Diluted Sodium Hypochlorite Solution.
Pharmaceutical Form: A white, smooth ointment with a characteristic smell.
Before using Morhulin Ointment:
- Do not use this product if you are sensitive to any of the ingredients listed
- Make sure this product is suitable for you to use- ask your doctor or pharmacist
- Do not use if you are sensitive to lanolin
- If symptoms persist, consult your doctor
- For external use only
- If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, use only on medical advice
Overdose: In the case of accidental or deliberate ingestion, medical attention should be sought immediately.
The following undesirable effect has been reported following use of this product: Rarely, rashes may occur.
Should you experience this or any other reaction, stop using the product and report it to your doctor or pharmacist who will advise you of the necessary action to take.
