Take charge of your health. Become more breast aware.
Using the Liv Aid allows women to easily perform breast awareness examinations. Breast cancer is the most self-discovered cancer and by becoming more breast aware, you will become familiar with what is normal for you.
The soft latex-free polyurethane aid with a non-toxic and environmentally safe lubricant sealed inside, allows your fingers to glide smoothly across your breasts. As a breast cancer survivor, Olivia encourages you to use the Liv Aid and Journal regularly.
Olivia's story
The power of touch was truly powerful for me!
Throughout my life, I have had a history of finding breast lumps during my regular check-ups with my doctor. They were always normal. But one day, I found a lump that felt different to me. The mammogram came back negative, as did the needle biopsy. But my doctor and I both had the same intuition that something was suspicious. A surgical biopsy found that I had cancer. Because I knew my body and what felt normal and what didn't, I am here today to tell you my story.
I am also happy to say that most lumps women find are non-cancerous, just as my early ones were. I have learned that doing regular breast self-exams saved my life and now with the Liv Aid, it helps me feel lumps easier than with my hands alone. By doing your breast self-exams every month, you can discover what is normal for you. Make it a habit — like exercising, using sun block or eating a healthy diet. Olivia Newton-John
Dr. Ernie Bodai, breast surgeon, Liv medical advisor and creator of the American breast cancer stamp, which has raised over $40 million for research: "I can't stress enough the importance of making a regular routine of your breast self-exam, like brushing your teeth; and the Liv Aid makes the exam so much easier by enhancing your ability to detect changes in your breast tissue."
Care and storage
- If the Liv Aid becomes soiled, simply use a mild soap, rinse with warm water and let it dry.
- Store at room temperature.
- Never put the Liv Aid into the microwave to warm up. Just hold the Liv Aid for a few minutes in your hands until it reaches a comfortable body temperature.
The Liv Kit makes no claim that, even with its use, breast cancer, breast lumps or other breast diseases will be found. It should be used in conjunction with regular clinical breast examinations and mammograms as advised by your GP or specialist
