Buttercup Original Cough Syrup Non-Drowsy give soothing and effective relief of:

Soothing and effective Buttercup Syrup:
- Suitable for adults and children over 2 years
Buttercup Original Syrup directions for use:
- Cough syrup for oral use
- Shake the bottle before use
- Always follow the instructions with your own product
Adults and children over l2 years of age: Two 5 ml spoonfuls, three times a day and at bedtime when the cough is troublesome.
Children over 2 years of age: One 5 ml spoonful, three times a day and at bedtime when the cough is troublesome.
- Not recommended for children under 2 years of age
- If symptoms persist, or if this medicine upsets you in any way, consult your doctor.
As with all medicines consult your doctor before taking Buttercup Syrup if you are:
- Pregnant
- Breast feeding
- Taking any other medication
If you exceed the stated dose consult your doctor or casualty department
Buttercup Original Syrup contains the active ingredients per 5 ml dose: Squill liquid extract 0.0031ml Capsicum tincture 0.0025ml.
Also contains: Syrup (fructose, glucose and sucrose), ethanol (alcohol), acacia powder, acetic acid, caramel colour (E15O), strong ginger tincture, aniseed flavour, peppermint oil, sodium methyl hydroxybenzoate (E219), sodium propyl hydroxybenzoate (E217), levomenthol, saccharin, sodium, sunset yellow (E110), clove oil, carmoisine (E122), and purified water.
Buttercup Original Syrup contains: 2.3 Vol% ethanol (alcohol), i.e. up to 91mg per 5ml dose, equivalent to 2.3ml of 5% beer or 0.96ml of 12% wine per 5ml dose.

Buttercup Original Syrup contains: 1.32g fructose, 1.32g glucose and 1.77g sucrose per 5ml dose.
- This should be taken into account in patients with diabetes mellitus
If you have been told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to some sugars:
