Intended Use
The GlucoMen Visio Blood Glucose Monitoring System is intended for the quantitative measurement of glucose in fresh whole-capillary blood and fresh whole-venous blood.

Testing is done outside the body (in vitro diagnostic use).

It is intended for blood glucose self-testing at home. It may also be used in clinical settings by healthcare professionals.

Important Information (1)
A blood glucose level in a normal subject, under fasting conditions, is between 3.8 mmol/L (70 mg/dL) and 6.1 mmol/L (110 mg/dL)

A blood glucose level, under fasting conditions, between 6.1 mmol/L (110 mg/dL) and 6.9 mmol/L (125 mg/dL) is an indication of impaired fasting glucose

A blood glucose level, under fasting conditions, over 7.0 mmol/L (126 mg/dL) is an indicator of diabetes

The GlucoMen Visio Sensor is the exclusive test strip for the GlucoMen Visio meter

To perform a blood glucose test, you must draw blood using a lancing device and lancet Please use the Glucoject Dual lancing device and GlucoMen Lancets Fine.

GlucoMen Visio, for easy self monitoring
The GlucoMen Visio meter is able to measure blood glucose levels using a micro blood sample (only 0.8 µL of blood). This important innovation makes it possible to deal with the pain felt when blood sampling through:

• Alternative site testing (AST) rather than fingertip sampling
• Reducing the blood volume needed when fingertip sampling

Painless Blood sampling in alternative sites
This type of sampling can be considered painless, as skin sensitivity is very low at alternative sites. Therefore, we recommend using GlucoMen Lancets fine, combined with Glucoject Dual lancing device with the clear cap especially designed for AST.

Their combined use comfortably assures you obtain the necessary blood sample volume needed to determine blood glucose values using GlucoMen Visio.

This kind of sampling cannot always be performed, as a rapid increase or decrease in blood glucose levels may lead to incorrect results. For further details please consult the meter manual or the sensor leaflet

Pain reduction in finger sampling
If sampling of alternative sites isn't possible, finger sampling where obvious sensitivity is very high becomes necessary. However in this case, thanks to the reduced blood sample volume required by GlucoMen Visio, combined with the especially designed accessories, the pain due to fingertip sampling is remarkably reduced.

For fingertip sampling we recommend, together with GlucoMen Visio, the use of the GlucoMen Lancets fine combined with Glucoject Dual lancing device.

This will drastically reduce the annoying pain sensation felt when finger sampling. This lancing device incorporates a specific "Comfort Zone" cap for finger sampling with an exclusive "nerve confusing system". It also offers depth and spring force regulation and adjustment.

For safety reasons, use the lancet only once. Be advised that changing the lancet after each blood sample also reduces pain.
