Codis 500 is a special formulation that provides strong pain relief and because it is soluble quickly gets to work on your pain

Codis 500 provides quick relief from headache, migraine, period pain and toothache, and relief from the symptoms of influenza and colds, rheumatic pain, lumbago and sciatica and muscular aches and pains.

Codeine Restrictions: Products containing codeine and codeine related products may not be supplied to the USA and Norway

Directions

Directions:

Adults and children 16 years and over: 1-2 tablets to be dissolved in water.

  • The dose may be repeated after 4 hours.
  • Maximum 8 tablets daily in divided doses.
  • Do not exceed the stated dose
  • If symptoms persist consult your doctor
If you need to use this medicine for more than three days at a time, see your doctor or pharmacist or health care professional. Taking codeine regularly for a long time can lead to addiction which might cause you to feel restless and irritable when you stop the tablets. Taking a painkiller for headaches too often or for too long can make them worse.
ContentsContain Aspirin: There is a possible association between aspirin and Reye's Syndrome when given to children. Reye's Syndrome is a very rare disease, which can be fatal. For this reason aspirin should not be given to children aged under 16 years, unless on the advice of a doctor.

Ingredients: Each Codis 500 tablet contains: Aspirin Ph.Eur. 500mg and Codeine Phosphate Ph.Eur. 8mg, calcium carbonate, maize starch, citric acid anhydrous, talc, sodium lauryl sulphate and saccharin.
Warnings

Side effects: In people sensitive to aspirin, reactions such as an asthma attack and skin rashes may occur occasionally. Use may also induce gastrointestinal haemorrhage (vomiting of blood or passing dark, tarry stools), occasionally major.

Do not take if: You are allergic to aspirin, or have, or have had, a stomach ulcer, or have haemophilia.

Warnings and interactions:Consult your doctor before taking if: you are asthmatic, taking other medicines, such as those for blood clots or gout, or are pregnant or breastfeeding.
