Movelat Relief is available as -
Movelat Relief for the symptomatic relief of muscular pain and stiffness:
Movelat Relief is a mild to moderate anti-inflammatory and analgesic (pain-relieving) preparation which, when applied to the skin, provides relief from muscular pain and stiffness, sprains and strains, and pain due to rheumatic and non-serious arthritic conditions.
Movelat Relief contains the anti-inflammatory and analgesic drug mucopolysaccharide polysulphate (MPS) together with the absorption enhancing agent salicylic acid.
Using Movelat Relief:
- Movelat Relief must not be used on children under 12 years of age
The amount of Movelat Relief you should use will depend on the size of the area being treated:
- Between 2 and 6 inches (5-15 cm) should be gently massaged into the area at any one time
- You can apply Movelat Relief up to four times a day
- Do not exceed the recommended dose
- For external use only
- Remember to wash your hands after applying, unless this is the area being treated.
Although if you accidentally swallow some Movelat Relief it is unlikely to be serious, you should contact a doctor or hospital casualty department.
Movelat Relief Cream contains: 0.2% w/w of the anti-inflammatory and analgesic drug mucopolysaccharide polysulphate (MPS) together with 2.0% w/w of the absorption- enhancing agent salicylic acid in a white cream base.
Movelat Relief Cream also contains the following inactive ingredients: Anhydrous eucerine, emulsifying cetostearyl alcohol, ethanolamine, glycerol, isopropyl alcohol, myristyl alcohol, stearic acid, thymol, water.
Movelat Relief Gel contains: 0.2% w/w of the anti-inflammatory and analgesic drug mucopolysaccharide polysulphate (MPS) together with 2.0% w/w of the absorption- enhancing agent salicylic acid in a white gel base.
Movelat Relief Gel also contains the following inactive ingredients: Carbomer, disodium edetate, isopropyl alcohol, polyethylene glyceryl mono-oleate, rosemary oil, ethanolamine, water.
Speak to your pharmacist or doctor before using Movelat Relief if:
- You have ever had an allergic reaction (for example a rash or wheezing) to mucopolysaccharide polysulphate, salicylic acid (or any other aspirin-like drugs) or other related painkillers known as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDS), including when taken be mouth.
- You suffer from asthma
- You are you pregnant or breast feeding
- You are taking any coumarin anti-coagulants (medicines for thinning the blood), or any prescribed medicines.
Movelat Relief must not be:
- Swallowed or used on, or near, sensitive areas such as the mouth, eyes or anogenital region
- Applied to broken skin (e.g. cuts or grazes)
- Used on large areas of skin (e.g. the whole of the back)
Some people may experience discomfort, particularly those with sensitive skin or if used in hot weather or after a bath
- If, after using Movelat Relief your symptoms persist or worsen, you should consult your doctor.
Movelat Relief does not usually cause unwanted effects. However, like all medicines, Movelat Relief can cause problems in some people. Movelat Relief may rarely cause redness, burning sensation or a rash in sensitive individuals.
If this occurs stop using this product and tell your pharmacist or doctor.
