Propain (32 Caplets) [P]
Propain can be used for the treatment of migraine, headache, muscular pain, period pain and toothache and the symptomatic relief of influenza, feverishness and colds.
Propain Contains Paracetamol, Codeine Phosphate, Diphenhydramine and Caffeine
- Paracetamol and Codeine Phosphate are analgesics ('pain killers').
- Diphenhydramine is an antihistamine and is used for it's ability to reduce feelings of sickness which can be associated with migraine.
- Caffeine is a stimulant which is used to counteract the possible sedative effects of the analgesics.
- Can cause addiction. For three days use only.
- If you need to use this medicine for more than three days at a time, see your doctor, pharmacist or health care professional.
- Taking codeine regularly for a long time can lead to addiction, which might cause you to feel restless and irritable when you stop the tablets.
- Taking a painkiller for headaches too often or for too long can make them worse.
How to take Propain caplets:
In adults, the elderly and children over 12 years of age:
- Take 1 or 2 caplets every four hours as required
- up to a maximum of 10 caplets in 24 hours.
- Do not give to children under the age of 12 without medical advice
- if symptoms persist consult your doctor
- do not exceed the stated dose
Overdose: Immediate medical advice should be sought in the event of an overdose, even if you feel well, because of the risk of delayed, serious liver damage. Take the leaflet and any remaining caplets with you.
