Deep Heat heat rub is a non-greasy, pain relieving cream to be applied to the skin:

Deep Heat's counter-irritant action make it effective in the treatment of muscular pains and stiffness including backache, sciatica, lumbago, fibrositis, rheumatic pain, chilblains, bruises, and sprains and is suitable for minor sports injuries.
Directions

Deep Heat Heat Rub directions:
For external use only

Adults and children over 5 years:

  • Gently massage a thin layer of Deep Heat Rub into the affected area until the cream is rubbed in
  • Deep Heat Rub can be used before or after exercise
  • Apply 2-3 times daily
  • Wash your hands immediately after use
If you accidentally squeeze out too much cream use a tissue to wipe off any excess
  • If your symptoms do not improve consult you doctor

Deep Heat Rub cutaneous cream the active substances are: Menthol 5.91% w/w, Eucalyptus oil 1.97% w/w, Methyl salicylate 12.80% w/w, Turpentine oil 1.47 % w/w.

The other ingredients are: Stearic acid, sodium carboxy methyl cellulose, propylene glycol, triethanolamine, lanolin, liquid paraffin and water.

Warnings

Do not use Deep Heat Heat Rub:

  • If you are allergic to any of the ingredients or painkillers such as aspirin, ibuprofen and other non-steroidal anti- inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs)
  • On children under 5 years of age

Consult your doctor before use if you are:

  • Pregnant or breast feeding
  • Asthmatic
  • On any prescribed medicines (especially medicines that thin the blood)

Take special care with Deep Heat Rub:

  • Always try on a small area first
  • Use only on unbroken skin
  • Avoid contact with the eyes and sensitive areas
  • Stop using Deep Heat if you get excessive irritation or other unwanted effects

Like all medicines Deep Heat Rub can have side effects: Temporary skin redness or a burning sensation may occur, particularly in those with sensitive skins or if used in hot weather or after a hot bath. You should stop using Deep Heat Rub if excessive irritation or other unwanted effects occur.
